The winery is located in the Marano Valley, in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica region – a historic and ideal area for viticulture, characterised by traditional stone terraces known as marogne in the local Veronese dialect.
The Clementi family cultivates 14 hectares of vineyards situated at an altitude of 300–400 metres, facing south and west on one of the most prized slopes of the region. The main grape varieties grown are Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella and Molinara, with small percentages of Oseleta and Croatina, trained using the traditional pergola system (3,300 vines per hectare).
The winery produces six wines, all made exclusively from native grape varieties:
Valpolicella Classico – Fresh and easy-drinking, with notes of cherry.
Valpolicella Superiore – More structured, aged in large barrels, with higher alcohol content.
Valpolicella Ripasso – Produced by refermenting the wine on Amarone pomace; smooth and intense.
Amarone della Valpolicella – The flagship wine: elegant, with aromas of ripe fruit, raisins, and preserved cherries. It requires four months of drying and over five years of barrel ageing, released after 6–7 years.
Cà del Giovane (IGT) – A savoury, intense and traditional red wine.
Bona (IGT) – A white wine made from Chardonnay and Garganega, fermented and aged in amphora; savoury and aromatic.
The winery welcomes visitors, wine lovers, and the curious. Siblings Maria, Maurizio and Bernardino personally guide guests through the cellar, vineyards, the fruttaio (drying room – particularly atmospheric in winter), and the ageing cellar. The venue is also suitable for cultural events. Guided tours, also available in English, are by appointment.
